Born Harry Samuel Parks in Corona, California, Michael Parks was the son of a truck driver.
As a teenager, he worked various jobs and married at the age of 15. In 1963, he appeared alongside Bette Davis in an episode of "Perry Mason."
Breakthrough Role and Early Success
Parks' breakthrough came in 1966 with his portrayal of Adam in John Huston's "The Bible: In the Beginning." He also played significant roles in NBC's "Sam Benedict" and "The Eleventh Hour." In 1969-1970, he starred in the television series "Then Came Bronson," for which he also sang the theme song "Long Lonesome Highway."
