    Robert Frederick DrinanSJ (November 15, 1920 – January 28, 2007) was a Jesuitpriest, lawyer, human rights activist, and DemocraticU.S.

    Representative from Massachusetts. Drinan left office to obey Pope John Paul II's prohibition on political activity by priests.

    He was also a law professor at Georgetown University Law Center for the last 26 years of his life.
