Barış Kılıç was born on February 21, 1978, in Arıgvan, Turkey.
At the age of five, he moved to Istanbul with his family. He received his secondary education in Istanbul and went on to study Economics at Istanbul University.

After spending several years in the United States studying English, Kılıç enrolled in a master's program at Yeditepe University in Istanbul.
