Yesterday was observed as Father's Day and we asked Prime Minister Bruce Golding, who is also a father, the question that is the focus of our cover story this week, 'What have you learnt from your father that you have passed on to your son?'.

"My father Tacius Golding was a man who embodied the core values of loyalty and dedication to his fellowmen and country, both as a teacher and politician.

Service was a valuable lesson that I learnt from a very young age, as I 'sat at his feet' in the early days of his political career.

"Even though my own son has not followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and myself into the formal political arena, he continues to live the fundamental lessons of leadership, commitment and service to country and people through his own chosen path.
